Steam deck was postponed
The Steam Deck is a computer game console and a touchpad created by Valve Firm. Its leave is scheduled for December 2021.
December 2021 should actually be a happy month for pre-ordered inside the Steam Deck Console, because Valve was originally planned to send out the first orders next month. But how Valve is now proclaimed, the release of Steam Deck is postponed.
Steam deck is no longer in 2021
The company has informed all the buyers in the console by e-mail that the delivery of Steam Deck will be delayed. The first pre-ordered are to be given their specimen only in February 2022.
What if my copy should come later anyway? All others that are not part of the first pre-order wave are also affected by the shift. All deliveries are therefore delayed by two months:
Based on current estimates, shipping the Steam Deck will be possible from February 2022. This time refers to the beginning of the registry queue — all reservation holders reserve their appropriate placement; Only the data is moved backwards. Estimates for concrete reservation data will be updated shortly.
What is the reason? Unfortunately, Valve is not spared before the current semiconductor chip scarcity. The company stated that some components will not be in good time in the factories.
Valve is not alone with this problem: Sony and Microsoft are also struggling with the scarcity of semiconductor chips and can not currently produce the quantity that would meet demand. Thus, some players still remain disappointed behind, as they did not have the chance to get one of the coveted consoles.

First impressions are positive
The Steam Deck has already been delivered to many developer studios in the form of a fully functional DEV kits so that the teams can adjust the games in advance for the steam deck. The developers are only praising words for the steam deck.
Only a criticism there are: all games that support only mouse and keyboard do not work in handheld mode without customization. But Valve has introduced a own valuation system for such games, with which it is possible to see at first glance, which games are flawless and which are not.
How is you moving with the shift of Steam Deck?
